Covered Legs Provided Cover for my family
I heard about the power of taking on a kabbalah in tznius and particularly the power of doing it with a group of women. I thought to myself, “very nice, but leave me alone! I can do so many other things, but tznius? Not for me! I’m good enought. I will think of something else to do”. A few months later the war started and I was so scared! I decided I wouldn’t wait anymore and I would take on a kabbalah in tznius. I listened to a few ideas and took one 3: to cover my legs in my house, to wear full length tights when I went outside, and to go through my closet and make sure all my skirts were the right length. As I was going through my closet, I kept davening that in the merit of my taking on these kabbalahs that my family and I should be protected.
As there was a lot of sirens going off in my and I have 3 little children under the age of 5, I asked my husband if we could go stay by my mother. He agreed, and we waited for a period where there was a bit of a loll in the fighting. We knew about the rockets, what we didn’t know is that along the roads there were terrorists waiting to grab people who were running away from their homes.
It’s not a long drive to my mother’s home, and my husband was driving quickly, but the entire time I was daveing that in the merit of my kabbalah in tzniut Hashem should save us. Ahead of us I noticed fires, on the side of the road. But we also noticed that everyone was driving past them, so I told my husband to just go quickly. As we got closer we saw it was large fires set by the terrorists to throw rocks at the passing cars. We drove past with rocks flying at us, and suddenly we heard a pop and realized our tire was hit and we were only able to drive a bit further before our car stopped. At this point we are terrified and I am screaming in the car over and over “Please Hashem, in the zechus of the kabbalahs I took in tzniut, save us!” I couldn’t see how we were going to get out of this situation alive.
Suddenly two arabs came to the side of our car. We immediately locked all the doors and called the police. Unbeknownst to me, I didn’t know that it was impossible for the police to come rescue us.

The arabs said, “come out, come out, we will help you”. I thought to myself, “sure, what were they going to do, help us get to heaven faster?!” We were not budging. The police were coming, or so we thought.
As this is going on a van filled with arabs, scary with black masks with only their lives peeking out. There is no way to describe the fear of seeing the malach hamaves at your door. The children also realized what was going on and I kept crying to them to daven. I continued to shout to Hashem that in the merit of my kabbalah in tznius that He would save us.
The arabs in the car were throwing rocks at us and cursing. Suddenly the two arabs standing outside our car told them to leave and they would “take care of these ones”. In a total nes, the car of arabs listened and drove onwards to find other victims.
At this point we realized we couldn’t stay in the car any longer, so we got out and followed the arabs into the arabs car. I had no idea how it would all end, whether we were going to be kidnapped or even live through the night. Amidst a barrage of stones and curses along the way the arabs drove really fast a Jewish settlement. As they let us out, we couldn’t stop thanking them and it was clear to us to Hashem had sent us 2 malachim in the form of arabs to save us. It was clear to me that it was all because of my kabbalah in tznius. Everyone must know that taking on a kabbalah protects not only you, but your entire family.
