It’s high time we took back our superpower
When the Malachim came to visit Avraham following his bris milah they asked him a question that was strange for random men to ask, “Where is your wife?” Rashi comments that they did this to cause Avraham to notice and appreciate his wife’s greatness - “look how modest your wife Sarah is!”
That was our mother, where our lineage comes from. And where did she learn her tznius from? The first woman, Chava, who HaShem whispered as He created each of her limbs
“תהי אישה צנועה״”.

Eretz Yisrael is fighting a war. On Oct. 7th Hamas terrorists infiltrated our borders and went on a mass killing spree, taking victims from babies to old women. 220 civilians were kidnapped and it’s still unknown what their status is - are they alive? Are they dead? Our entire nation is shattered.
The talk on the street is how could this have happened? Who’s to blame? How could so many brutal savages pass through so many miles of land with no one stopping them? Where was the army? Where was our intelligence? People want to point fingers.
So point a finger - up! Towards HaShem. Because it was only HaShem who allowed this to happen, who closed the eyes and ears of the Israeli defense so they were unaware of what was unfolding.
Modesty Matters
This is our lineage and the mitzvah that is seeped into our every bone.
Until Moshiach comes we won’t truly know the answer as to why HaShem allowed this atrocity to take place. However, if we open our eyes and look at the signs and messages HaShem is leaving us we can formulate our own hypothesis.
The Shechina departs when we are not tznua. When we don’t protect our “borders” of dress, HaShem allows our security borders to be breached.
Who is Hamas? Who are the Palestinians who want to destroy us? The descendants of Yishmael. Yishmael the half brother of Yitzchok. Yishmael who grew up in the home of Sarah Imeinu, in the home of the woman who epitomized tznius. Yishmael who has taken on tznius as his banner - in the way Arab men and women dress. Yishmael who is now telling us - if you don’t want to be modest, we will force you to be!

We are in a war! We can no longer go small. That’s like a bandaid being used to stop a ruptured artery. We must take on Kabbalah that will cause us a little bit more discomfort, that will cause us to stretch a bit further. We need to show HaShem that we are willing to follow the example of the women of mitzrayim in maintaining our dress code, in adhering to the highest levels of tznius. Our Kabbalah’s have to make us feel something. Because if we want the Shechina to come back home, if we want HaShem to keep us safe, we must ensure we are creating the vessel for that protection.
Sarah B’Ohel means making modesty matter. We can’t shy away from it anymore. We are the soldiers of this war and our armor, our gear, is our tznius.
Let’s take on these Kabbalahs with the name of a hostage or soldier - saying the name and asking HaShem to send protection to that individual in the zechus of the “extra protection” we are taking on.
Let’s not wait for Hamas to teach us this lesson - let us learn it from our Imahos, from our lineage. Let us embrace what is intrinsically our superpower. As tzizus protects a man and is his armor, tznius is ours. Let’s own it and be proud that we are doing our part in this war!
A hidden tzadik predicted that a terrible atrocity would take place and now has said that what happened is small in comparison to what is still to come. HaShem should protect us! But emphasized that a woman who is tznius and makes efforts to upgrade in this Mitzvah will be able to kick an Arab to the floor as easily as someone kicking dirt. A woman who is modest will not need to fear. She is portected.
Our tznius is our Superpower!
Let’s use it to Bring the soldiers, the hostages and most importantly, the Shechina Home! אמן!
